We’ll see you in November 2021

As soon as the government announced a curfew, then the implementation of new lockdown measures, we set about looking for solutions that would allow us to keep the 2 Tours d’Horloge going on 7 and 8 November.

To date, although the use of the Paul Ricard circuit remains technically feasible, we have no formal guarantee from the prefectural authorities that those taking part will be protected in the case of a last-minute cancellation. Moreover, in addition to the worsening health risk, the current situation comes with strict restrictions in terms of travel in France or from abroad, while the accommodation capacity near the circuit will also likely be greatly reduced.

Therefore, both out of respect for our drivers and teams, whom we have all consulted, and out of our desire to protect them from all unnecessary risks, we taken been forced to take the decision to postpone the event unfortunately this Friday 30th October. This edition of the 2 Tours d’Horloge is not cancelled, but merely postponed for one year to November 5, 6 and 7, 2021.

After long months of work to prepare for the return of this race, whose last edition was held in 2014, to have been forced to take such a decision is of course a huge disappointment. However, we won’t forget the tremendous welcome that this race’s return received, since no less than 44 crews were expected to be on the starting line. This observation is a powerful encouragement to continue along the same path and to work now on the preparation of the 2021 edition. Meanwhile, the idea to organise an endurance race during the first half of the 2021 season is on the agenda.

Until then, take care of yourselves and families.
