V de V Sports’ season kicks off this weekend with their first race on the famous Nevers Magny-Cours circuit, which hosted eighteen editions of the French Formula 1 Grand Prix from 1991 to 2008.
The 6 Hours of Magny-Cours will take place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 April with two free practice sessions on Saturday: from 10:40 to 11:25 and then from 14:20 to 15:05, one hour’s qualifying on Saturday from 18:00 to 19:00, and the race on Sunday: from 12:15 to 18:15.
Around twenty crews are expected to line up on the starting grid at the wheel of Touring, GT and Sports Prototype cars that marked the halcyon days of endurance racing.
Let’s start with the winning duo of the 2024 VHC Endurance Challenge, Damien Kohler and José Da Rocha, who are back to defend their title at the wheel of a Porsche 911 3.0 prepared by Team Bersi. Eric Wassermann, second in the 2024 VHC Endurance Challenge, will team up with Charles Veillard and Jean-Michel Villot in a BMW 323 i entered by the Wassermann Racing team. Armand Mille, third in the 2024 VHC Endurance Challenge, will also be at the start associated with Maxime Guénat in a Chevron B21 from the Equipe Europe squad, which will also enter a Chevron B16 for Didier and Julien Gruau associated with Pierre-Alain France.
There was no way that Eric Van de Vyver (founder and organiser of the 2 Tours d’Horloge and originator of the concept of endurance races reserved for Historic Competition Vehicles), could miss the first meeting. He will team up with Jean-Paul Petit and Jacques Roucolle aboard a Jaguar Type E prepared by the team managed by Alain Cudini, former French Touring Car Champion with thirteen starts in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Note that the Cudini Racing Team will also enter a Porsche 944 S2 for Arnold Noret, Jacques Colibet and Philippe Vigneron.
The Chateaux Sport Auto team, another dyed-in-the-wool fan of the events organised by V de V Sports, will be on the grid with their Chevron B16 for the family crew of Matthieu and Jean-Baptiste Chateaux.

MORE THAN 80 CARS ON TRACK!
The Porsche 944 Turbo entered by the AM25 team for Philippe, Arnaud and Edouard Martin will also be present. Another 944, the Cup version, prepared by AB Sport Auto for Franck Thybaud and Patrick Brossard is among the runners. In addition, three 964s will be on the grid: the Le Digou Racing entry for Philippe Burel / Bob Arezina/ Patrick Bourguignon, the Trajec Team Classic 964 for Christophe Billot / Nicolas Beloou / Benjamin Monteiro and the third 964 looked after by the Belgian outfit Hy Racing for Brice Pineau / Olivier Muytjens / Greg Audi. The Stuttgart brand will also be represented by the 911 3.0 SC entered by GT Classic for Philippe Baert and Stéphane Moreau.
Among the Touring cars and other GTs, note the Ford Mustang run by the 4 Race team entrusted to the duo Laurent Paulus/Laurent Charbonneau, the Sunbeam Tiger driven by the crew Jérôme Servies/François Leloutre and the Caterham Super Seven from Garage Delarche for the foursome Vincent Delarche /Laurent Trichet/ Michel Cairat / Nicolas Grue.
And don’t forget several open-top sports cars made in the United Kingdom like those entered by theBelgian team GT Racing Supplies: a Lotus XI for Guy and Guillaume Peeters, a Lotus 23 for Frédéric Debraey and an Elva MK 5 for Louis Zurstrassen plus another Lotus 23 for Guillaume Leloutre. All of which adds up to a well-stocked starting grid for the first round of the V de V Sports season!
